Hong Kong: China Shipping Development announced over the weekend that it will build eight 48,000dwt crude/product oil ships at Guangzhou Shipyard International. The total contact value is around $300m.
The official shipbuilding contact will be signed this week and the company will release detailed announcements later.
In addition, apart from the four bulk carriers China Shipping Development ordered in Jiangnan Changxing Shipbuilding last week, the company will build another two 82,000dwt bulkers at CSSC Longxue Shipbuilding under its subsidiary China Shipping Puyuan Shipping. The total contract value is $64.84m. The two bulkers are scheduled for delivery in May 2012 and December 2012. [29/11/10]
