Hong Kong: China Shipping Development Co (CSDC) has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary China Shipping Development (Hong Kong) has ordered four 180,000dwt bulk carriers from Shanghai Jiangnan Changxing Shipbuilding. The vessels were ordered at a total cost of $220m. The company will also sign options with the shipiyard for two additional 180,000dwt bulkers. The official shipbuilding contact and option ships agreement will be signed this week, and China Shipping make a detailed announcement at that time. [23/11/10]
