Shanghai: China Shipping has signed a contract believed to be worth $450m with China Shipbuilding Industry Corp (CSIC) to build four 308,000dwt VLCCs for delivery 2009-10. China Shipping already has three VLCCs plus another four on order. The new ships will boost the group's capacity for carrying oil imports to 100m tonnes a year. [30/10/06]
