Shanghai: According to broker Clarkson Asia, China Shipping Group have contracted a series of twelve 57,000 dwt bulkers at CIC Shipyard - which is the former Jiangdu facility bought by the group recently. The vessels which are due to deliver from end 2008 through 2010 feature a longer than normal LOA and are designed for the coastal trade. The price is reported to be US$35m per unit. [16/04/07]
