Shanghai: In the first six months of 2006, China's major ports handled more than 42m teu posting a growth of more than 22%. Total tonnage, the volume at 2.2bn tonnes registered a growth of 18.4%. Shanghai was once again the largest port, handling around 10m teu in the first half. [14/08/06]
