Thaumas Marine, subsidiary of Coastal Contracts, will take delivery of the CIMC Taisun 200B design jack-up in 2015.
Mexico's state-owned petroleum firm Pemex will charter the jack-up for a period of eight years with an extension option up to 12 years for work in the Gulf of Mexico.
The jack-up will be capable of operating at water depth up to 55 metres and process gas up to 200m standard cubic feet per day.
