During a ceremony with 60 German maritime executives in attendance, BG Verkehr handed an official certificate of authorisation to ClassNK chairman Noboru Ueda. “This recognition is an important step forward in our ongoing expansion here in Germany. We are deeply honored to be able to serve on behalf of the German flag administration, and will dedicate our full resources to supporting the needs of the German maritime community in the days and years to come,” Ueda said.
The news follows the transfer of 1.5m gt to ClassNK by German shipowners to the ClassNK register since 2011.
