CMA CGM announces rate restoration for US export cargo

Marseilles:  CMA CGM Group announces it has decided to restore freight rates in the Transpacific and Transatlantic trades to a more sustainable level. New rate increases will apply to all US export cargo moving to Asia and to Europe, effective September 1. 
 
Transpacific increases will be: 
-$ 150 per TEU and $ 300 per FEU for cargo ex US Houston and Mobile Terminals
-$ 25 per TEU and $ 50 per FEU for cargo ex US east and west coast ports
-$ 50 per TEU and $ 100 per FEU for cargo ex US IPI origins
 
Transatlantic increases (North Europe and West Med) will be:
-$ 240 per TEU and $ 300 per FEU for CY/CY and IPI cargo
