Hong Kong: China National Offshore Oil Corp's new LNG terminal will feature three storage tanks. ??The company is building its fourth terminal in Zhuhai City in South China's Guangdong Province. ??First-phase construction of the terminal will install receipt capacity of 3.5 million tonnes/year of LNG and is scheduled to start up in September 2013. Included are one wharf and 291km of pipelines. Total investment will be about $1.7 billion (EUR1.216 billion). ??Second-phase construction will add another 3.5 million tpy by 2015 with ultimate capacity of 12 million tpy. ??The terminal will send out natural gas Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, and Jiangmen in the Pearl River Delta area. ??CNOOC is planning nine additional LNG terminals along the country's coast to increase total handling capacity to more than 30 million tpy.
