Singapore: Jurong Port scored a full year container throughput of 832,000 teu, a growth year-on-year of 1.96%.
Amomg new customers for the Singaporean port Emirates Shipping Line's new 3,3398teu vessel Emirates Wasl made her maiden call at Singapore on November 22, docking at the port just after midnight.
UASC, the port's main client, which accounts for more than 30% of throughput, is likely to ramp up box figures at the port this year once its new vessels of over 6,000 teu capacity start delivering from early 2008 onwards. [14/01/08]
