Hong Kong: COSCO Pacific Ltd said it has appointed Chen Hongsheng as chairman of its board.
Chen will also be an executive director of the company. He earlier held the position of a non-executive director.
The company said Wei Jiafu resigned as chairman and non-executive director to have more time for his duties as president and chief executive of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Co and chairman and chief executive of China COSCO Holdings Co. Capt Wei has also stepped down from his position as head of Singapore-listed Cosco Corporation. [23/7/08]
