Coscol said part of the work under the contract will be subcontracted to its South Korean partners, namely Dongbang Transport Logistics, Hanjin Transportation, CJ Korea Express and Chung Yang Shipping.
Coscol will be responsible for transporting modules weighing up to 1,800 tonnes from fabrication yards in Korea and Europe to the transhipment bases in the Black Sea and Baltic Sea.
The Chinese heavylift shipowner will utilise its fleet of 18 semi-submersible vessels and deck carriers to perform about 60 shipments beginning 2018 and completing in about 2020.
Han Guomin, ceo of Coscol, said the company will ensure the safe and timely delivery of the project modules to be used for the expansion of a western Kazakhstan oil field.
