CSIC sets up first overseas representative office in Dubai

The state-owned China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) set-up a Middle East Gulf area representative office in Dubai. It is the first overseas representative office the Group has established.

The Gulf area is a crucial region for global economic and political layout, establishing the group’s first overseas representative office in the region is an important step to promote the group’s international strategic development plans, said Hu Wen Ming, chairman of CSIC.

The representative office is based in Dubai, providing services to the whole Middle East Gulf area. It will promote CSIC’s products and technologies locally, seeking for the opportunity of local infrastructure and large-sized projects construction.

CSIC is one of China’s largest shipbuilding and ship repair groups. Its marine sector business covers both naval and merchant ships and equipment manufacturing. The group also designs, develops and manufactures a wide-range of non-marine products.
