It is aimed at enhancing operational flexibility and helping to avoid distress sales in the event of order cancellation or payment defaults.
The unit will be involved in vessel leasing, seaborne transport, vessel sales, ship management, investments, introduction of new technology related to ships and offshore equipment, crew management and other shipping-related business, CSSC said.
