Haifa: Cyprus and Israel yesterday entered a bilateral agreement for commercial shipping, writes the Financial Mirror. The agreement was signed in Nicosia, by Cyprus' Minister of Communications and Works Nicos Nicolaides and Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Ministers of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman, who is paying an official visit to Cyprus.
The agreement, inter alia, covers the equal treatment with regard to services provisions to ships of the one country while being in the ports of the other, cooperation and granting of assistance in case of maritime accidents and cooperation concerning training of seafarers. [14/01/10]
