Perhaps one of the dangers of this practice is that one's jokes tend to get repeated. One such joke was Huxley's quip about how the most profitable shipyards in history were Hong Kong companies Tai Koo Dockyards and Whampoa Dockyards, which this journalist heard at least three times in as many sessions in reference to what should be done about oversupply of newbuildings and overcapacity in the shipbuilding industry.
The punch line of course was these companies only became incredibly profitable after they filled in the dry docks and built apartments on them in one of the world's most expensive property markets.
