Dubai World signs up with Cisco

Dubai: American computer network giant Cisco  has signed a strategic direct contractual agreement with Dubai World according to which Cisco technology would be standardised for all Dubai World''s local and global infrastructure and communications requirements. "Our strategic partnership with Cisco places Dubai World amongst the pioneering global technology adopters Cisco will work closely to devise our technology strategy and roadmap, enabling us to provide innovative services across all our group businesses as well as transform our operations to achieve maximum performance and productivity," said executive chairman, Dubai World, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem. As part of the agreement, Cisco will not only define the technology, infrastructure and architecture required for services across the Dubai World businesses, but also provide business consultancy on mergers and acquisition best practices.  [22/11/06]
