Hong Kong: Emirates Shipping Line has joined the ASEAN-Gulf-Indian Subcontinent (AGI) service launched recently by the consortium of Evergreen, Simatech and OOCL, offering a direct link from Thailand to the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent (ISC).
Emirates will have slots on the service and will serve the Thailand-ISC markets with additional direct link to the Middle East.
Port rotation of the service is: Laem Chabang - Singapore - Tanjung Pelepas - Port Klang - Colombo - Jebel Ali - Karachi - Mundra - Colombo - Port Klang - Singapore - Laem Chabang.
Emirates' participation commences on the "HS Challenger" departing Thailand on September 17th 2010. The service is the only direct link that exists between Thailand and the Middle East. [01/09/10]
