Ningbo: Fenwick Shipping has launched it's new 22,000 ton bulk carrier, Kuniang (pictured), at the Hong Xin ship yard in Taizhou. The vessel, which is the second newbuild delivered to the company by the same yard this year, brings Fenwick Shipping's fleet to a total of five ships.
At the launch, company owner Antony Marden said, "Fenwick's new vessels will enable the company to provide customers with much needed capacity while enabling Fenwick to capitalize on the current market strength. All of Fenwick's ships are, and have been, China built and are a tribute to the strength and quality available at Chinese shipyards".
Kuniang and her sister ship will be traded on the spot market and contracted out from Australia, to Saudi Arabia and New Zealand. [03/10/07]
