Four new services from Cheng Lie Navigation

Hong Kong: Cheng Lie Navigation (CNC), a wholly owned subsidiary of CMA CGM, has announced the launch of four new services this month. The first service, beginning October 7, is a new feeder and dedicated reefer service named Strait Pakistan Express (SPX) that will focus on Singapore, Pakistan and India's Gujarat State. It will operate in partnership with Sea Consortium and deploy three 1,600teu container ships. Its rotation will be as follows: Singapore - Port Kelang - Colombo - Karachi - Mundra - Pipavav - Singapore.

The liner company will also join forces with Pendulum Express Line and contribute one 1,100teu vessel to the new Thailand Malaysia Express (TMX) shuttle service that will be launched on October 10.

CNC is also to launch the China 3 service on October 19 in conjunction with SITC Container Lines. The service will deploy three 1,000teu vessels to ports in China, Thailand and Vietnam and follow the rotation: Qingdao - Shanghai - Ningbo - Laem Chabang - Bangkok -Laem Chabang - Ho Chi Minh - Hong Kong - Shanghai - Qingdao.


Lastly, on October 21, CNC plans to independently launch the NVX (North Vietnam Express) that will use a 580teu containership to call at: Haiphong - Quinhon - Hong Kong - Haiphong.
