FSL Trust demands return of tankers from Berlian Laju
Singapore: First Ship Lease Trust (FSL Trust) has demanded the return of three chemical tankers chartered to Berlian Laju Tankers (BLT) after the Indonesian owner defaulted on February lease payments.

FSL Trust Management said it had sent a notice for the “orderly redelivery” of the chemical tankers Pertiwi, Prita Dewi and Pujawati, in accordance with the lease contract.

BLT defaulted on its February lease payments after it suspended all principal debt repayments and lease payments last month seeking to restructure its debts. The company faced $418m in debt and lease payments in 2012 alone.
