FSL Trust takes redelivery of second Geden aframax
First Ship Lease Trust (FSL Trust) has taken back the second tanker chartered to Geden Holdings, that the shipowner defaulted on.

Singapore-listed FSL Trust said it had taken redelivery of the aframax Action and it would be renamed the FSL Shanghai. As with the Aqua, renamed FSL Hong Kong, which was redelivered on 5 July it will be technically managed by Thome Ship Management and commercially managed by Teekay Chartering. FSL Trust Management said it was currently seeking employment for the FSL Shanghai.

“As an update, FSL Hong Kongwhich was redelivered on 4 July 2013, will commence its first voyage charter in the spot market this week,” it added.

FSL Trust demanded the redelivery of the two tankers on 17 June after Geden defaulted in charter payments on a long-term lease.

Listed on the Singapore Exchange FSL Trust has now been suspended from trading for two weeks from 1 July. On 4 July the trust’s entire senior management quit, including high-profile ceo Philip Clausius.
