The ship spares provider is shifting its central office to the Lion City to be closer to its customers, noting that Asia was home to a large number of shipowners and managers.
“Our customer base in places like Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan has increased significantly over the last years, and we have also seen positive growth in China,” said Jan Kielmann, director global of GML. “It therefore made sound business sense to get closer to those key markets, whilst continuing to enhance our ability to work the global GAC network to best serve our clients, wherever they are and wherever they need us.”
In Dubai a regional hub team headed Markus Johannson will cover the Middle East and Indian sub-continent.
