GAC renews Chevron global agency deal

Dubai: The GAC Group reports that it has renewed its worldwide agency deal with longstanding client Chevron Shipping Company (CSC), Chevron Corporation's fleet subsidiary, with whom its business relationship dates back to the early 1970s, when GAC was a growing force in ship agency services in the Middle East.

The new contract, which sees GAC continue as CSC's sole provider of tanker agency services around the world, was recently signed at CSC's headquarters in San Ramon, California, by CSC's General Manager for Commercial, Thomas Olinger and GAC's Group Vice President, Solutions, Christer Sjödoff. Olinger said CSC's decision to stay with GAC stemmed from its consistently strong performance as a global agent, with high levels of service delivered at all locations worldwide.  [12/10/10]
