Busan: Gap Sook Lee has resigned as president of the Busan Port Authority (BPA) after just 19 months in charge. The former head of class society Korean Register has presided over a tough period for Korea's premier port which is finding it hard to adjust to the shift to its new port premises to the west of the city. Lee helped spearhead BPA's first overseas forays investing in China and Russia. Lee's position is one appointed by the president of the nation and a new administration in charge has led to a big rethink about Korea's port strategy. Lee has been replaced by Ki Tae Roh. [17/7/08]
