GE subsidiaries go head-to-head on offshore tender

Mumbai: Great Eastern Shipping subsidiary- Greatship (GIL) and its recently de-merged offshore entity Great Offshore (GOL) are to go head to head competing for a tender for 30 offshore vessels by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). Despite sharing a common Chairman - Mr K M Sheth (pictured) - a spokesperson for GE Shipping confirmed that both companies would compete for the tender independently.

GOL and GIL are just two of a large number of offshore and shipping companies expected to compete for the tender when it opens in early January.  [19/12/06]
