Golden Ocean completes Singapore secondary listing

Singapore: Golden Ocean has become the first company to dual list on the Singapore Exchange under a cooperation with Oslo Bors. The John Fredriksen owned company completed its secondary listing on SGX on March 18. The listing was by way of an introduction and no new capital has been raised at this time. "We are very pleased to be the first company to achieve a dual listing in Oslo and Singapore," said Herman Bilung, ceo of Golden Ocean. "We already have a significant operational presence in Singapore and the main driver for our drybulk business is the fast growing emerging economies in Asia." "Golden Ocean is the first listing under our cooperation framework with the Oslo Bors. We look forward to more of similar listings on the two exchanges," said Lawrence Wong, executive vice president and head of listings for SGX. "By taking advantage of the dual listing framework, companies will benefit by having the access to a wider and deeper capital market. Investors of both exchanges too will benefit from more investment choices," he added DnB NOR Markets acted as sole global coordinator in the secondary listing. [18/03/10]
