Tokyo: Liner consortium Grand Alliance is adjusting its Mediterranean and Asia (EUM) service to call at the South Korean port of Busan in response to increasing cargo volumes. The service, now including an additional eighth ship, will also feature a larger capacity of 6,500teu (currently 4,400teu). The enhanced service will begin in week 25 of 2007.
The EUM service will follow the port rotation with a transit time of 56 days.: Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Damietta, Genoa, Barcelona, Fos, Damietta, Singapore and Hong Kong
The member lines of the Grand Alliance are Hapag-Lloyd Container Line (HLCL), MISC Berhad (MISC), Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL). [25/05/07]
