Seoul: Hanjin Shipping and Hyundai Merchant Marine have announced that they will cooperate in the Trans-Pacific trade beginning October.
Specifically, these two partner carriers will be exchanging vessel space; Hanjin will be taking slots on Hyundai's SZX (Suez Express) and Hyundai, on Hanjin's AWN (All Water North Atlantic). With this slot exchange, Hanjin Shipping will be able to expand its presence in Singapore/Colombo - US East Coast trade while Hyundai, in Shanghai/Busan - US East Coast trade.
