Seoul: Hanjin Shipping has launched its new advanced logistics IT system after approximately two years of development in cooperation with Cyberlogitec and IBM GBS.
ALPS (Advanced Logistics Pathfinder System) is a web-based system aimed to maximize work efficiency by improving the work process of the company's front offices with a variety of new functions including pre-checking of dangerous cargo and unifying booking and B/L numbers and more. Also, in order to upgrade customer's satisfaction, this new system can issue customized invoices and provide detailed information on container equipment.
In Mo Yang, Vice President at Hanjin Shipping, commented "In consideration of the complications and delicacy of shipping operations, we tried to create a system that suits the characteristics of local environment."
