It puts Hanjin’s owned fleet 63 vessels comprising 39 containerships, 18 bulkers, five tankers and single small dry bulk vessel. The figures differ slightly from Alphaliner on the containership fleet front which it put at 37 for the number of owned containerships.
Based on VesselsValue’s numbers the containership fleet is worth $1.39bn, while its dry bulk fleet is worth $306.5m, with the remaining six vessels bringing up the value of the fleet to $1.76bn.
The value of Hyundai Merchant Marine’s (HMM) fleet, which is tipped to takeover some of the Hanjin vessels, is just $965.5m comprising 36 vessels.
