Seoul: MPC Münchmeyer Petersen Steamship of Germany has placed a $1.36m order for eight 13,100 teu containerships with Hyundai Heavy Industries.
The octet are to be operated by Korean line Hanjin Shipping, paying a reported $59,950 a day for 12 years. The contract includes an option for a ninth vessel. [12/02/08]
