Qingdao: Hyundai Corp, a South Korean general trading company, plans to triple production capacity at its shipyard in China beginning next year. The production capacity of the shipyard, Qingdao Hyundai Shipbuilding Co, is to be expanded to 15 units of 10,000-ton vessels from the current seven units of 6,000-ton ships by 2007. Qingdao Hyundai Shipbuilding is shooting for annual sales of US$150 million in 2008 and US$250 million in 2012, it said. [24/08/06]
