Seoul: The world's largest shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd said operating profit expanded by 140% year-on-year in the three months to March, thanks to profitable ship orders.
The shipbuilder said operating profit rose to 402.4bn won for the quarter while net profit surged to 371bn won from 22.9bn. Sales grew 29% to 3.68 trillion won in the first quarter. [07/05/07]
