Seoul: Hyundai Mipo Dockyard has announced that it has signed a deal to construct four petrochemicals carriers for Latvian shipping company JSC Latvijas kugnieciba, reports Seanews. The contract, worth 191bn won ($211 million) will see the wholly owned subsidiary of Hyundai heavy Industries deliver all four 52,000dwt ice class tankers by February 2012. So far this year, Hyundai Mipo has received new orders for 108 vessels worth $60bn the company revealed in a regulatory filing. [08/11/07]
