ICTSI aquires twin lift spreaders at Manila terminal

Manila: International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has installed new twin lift spreaders for three quay cranes at its flagship, Manila International Container Terminal. The company purchased three Bromma STR 40 twin lifts spreaders (pictured), each composed of two regular twin lifts and one separating twin lift for intallation at its Manila facility.
 
Each spreader has a lifting capacity of 40.6 tons, and can handle two 20-foot containers or one 40-foot container in one lifting.  The twin lift spreaders are the first of its kind to be installed in the country.  In a statement, the company said, "With the acquisition of the new twin lifts, the Manila International Container Terminal is expected to further improve productivity and serve clients better."  [25/07/07]
