ICTSI close to securing Portland terminal lease

Manila: The Port of Portland is likely to announce soon that Manila-headquartered International Container Terminal Services, Inc (ICTSI) will lease its sixth terminal. The 25-year agreement will be discussed by senior port management on May 12. Portland, a river facility on the US West Coast, has struggled to attract regular customers, with fierce competition coming from the likes of Tacoma, Seattle and latterly Vancouver. Neverthelesss, the deal, if it comes through, would represent a huge coup for ICTSI. [05/05/10]
