Jakarta's Tanjung Priok Port access road project delayed due to building faults
Work to build a new highway for better access to Jakarta's current main port of Tanjung Priok has received a major setback, with Reuters and local media reporting that  the joint venture firm of Japanese construction firm Kajima and Indonesian state builder Waskita Karya, that had been working on the project has been forced to delay its completion due to flaws in the building material.

They will have to rebuild as many as 69 supporting columns due to signs of cracking, local media quoted public ministry official Hediyanto Husaini as saying. A Kajima spokesman was quoted as saying they had to rebuild the columns as the concrete they used was not up to standard. He gave no details on delays or possible cost overruns.
