Japan' super hub port project gets government funding

Tokyo: The Ministry of Finance (MOF) in its fiscal 2008 draft budget has  appropriated Y60.1 billion to finance super hub port projects being pushed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure & Transport, reports the Kaiji Press. Specifically, the outlay will cover the construction of two container terminals at Niigata and Shimizu ports, a multipurpose international terminal at Onahama port and disaster prevention facilities at Sakai-Senboku port.
