Tokyo: Japan's Ocean Policy Research Foundation (OPRF) announces is preparing to announce proposals for the maritime industries to adopt more sustainable business practices with a view to preventing global warming by 2050. The OPRF says its proposals for the maritime industries "use the back casting method based on the estimation of the world seaborne trade and the analysis of the world maritime industries in 2050." Full details are to expected to be announced at a meeting in London in late October. [02/02/02]
