Hong Kong: JPMorgan Chase & Co has raised its H shareholding in China Shipping Container Lines Co Ltd (CSCL) to 10.07% from the previous 9.85%, market sources reported. According to statistics released by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx), on May 4, the American company acquired approximately 8.1 million shares in CSCL for HK$16.69 million. The average price of the transaction is HK$2.06 apiece.
Meanwhile, Swiss giant UBS bought around 11.68 million H-shares of CSCL, lifting its stake in the latter from 7.74% to 8.01%, sources said. [11/05/09]
