Jurong negotiating to sell jack-up rig to Seadrill

Singapore: Jurong Shipyard looks set to sell a jack-up rig originally built for Petropod to John Fredriksen's Seadrill. Parent, Sembcorp Marine, said Jurong Shipyard had signed a letter of intent to negotiate the sale of he sale of a harsh environment CJ70 jack-up drilling rig. The rig was originally being built for Petropod but the yard terminated the contract last year after the owner stopped making payments. [15/04/10]
