Tokyo: Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha ("K" Line) is to launch a new North China - Straits service in conjunction with Hong Kong-based Regional Container Lines (RCL) this May. In a statement, "K" Line has said that the service was designed to meet the "growing demands of traffic between China and ASEAN countries as well as acting as reliable feeder service to connect onto our global service network at Singapore and Pusan."
The service will offer two loops - the Jaseco-2 ("K" Line - RCL joint loop using three 2000teu vessels) and the Jaseco-3 (RCL loop using 2500teu vessels). The services will operate along the following the port rotation:
Jaseco-2: Qingdao - Pusan - Shanghai - Hong Kong - Singapore - Manila (North Harbour) - Manila (South Harbour) - Qingdao
Jaseco-3: Xingang - Qingdao - Pusan - Singapore - Hong Kong - Shanghai - Xingang [26/05/07]
