"K" Line establishes Vietnamese shipping agency

Hanoi: Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha is to establish a jointly owned shipping agency in Vietnam in April 2007, with local Vietnamese logistics company Hai Minh. The liner company, which will own a 51% of the new agency, has already received Vietnamese government approval to set up "K" Line (Vietnam). The jv company, slated to help "K" Line improve its container services, will handle all local liner shipping agency activities from its head office in Hanoi. There are also plans to open two branch offices in Haiphong and Ho Chi Minh City.  [29/01/07]
