Tokyo: Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha has received the 140,000cbm Arctic Voyager LNG carried from Kawasaki's Shipbuilding Corp's Sakaide Shipyard in Japan. The vessel, a sister to Arctic Discoverer delivered in February, is co-owned with Statoil, Mitsui & Co and Iino Kaiun, and will be used for 20 years on the Snøhvit project in the Barents Sea, carrying exports to Spain and the US. "K" Line points out that this marks its first operation of winterized LNG vessels in the Arctic. [18/07/06]
