Singapore: Via its Keppel FELS subsidiary, Keppel Offshore & Marine has won its first Brazilian drilling rig order, from Quieroz Galva Perfuraoes (QGP). The $270m contract is for a DSS 38 semi-submersible design, expected to support Petrobras' aggressive production plans in the Golden Triangle region comprising Brazil, Africa and the Gulf of Mexico, which accounts for 85% of the world's deepwater exploration and production expenditure over the next five years.
