Singapore: Keppel Singmarine has bagged three newbuilding contracts worth a total of S$140m. Royal Boskalis Westminster has ordered a 159m long rock dumping fall pipe vessel with the capacity to carry 23,000 tonnes of rock. The vessel equipped with DP-2 capabilities is due for completion in late 2011. "Rock dumping fall pipe vessels are a good example of highly specialised ships that require detailed engineering customised to the owners' requirements. Leveraging our proven track record and expertise in this area, we are confident of delivering a quality vessel to Boskalis' expectations," said Hoe Eng Hock, executive director of Keppel Singmarine. In addition to the rock dumping fall pipe vessel, Keppel Singmarine won an order from Smit International for a 65-tonne bollard pull tugboat and a 50-tonne bollard pull tugboat from PT Pelayaran Trans Parau Sorat.
