Seoul: Korean Register of Shipping (KR) has revealed that it made an agreement with the Azerbaijani Republic's maritime authorities early this week to inspect agreements and issue related certifications over Azerbaijani ships on behalf of the Azerbaijani Government. KR will have a right to issue certifications and to conduct a close inspection over general cargo carrier's SOLAS (International Convention for the Safety of Life At Sea), MARPOL (International Convention for the Prevention of Marine Pollution from Ships), ITC (International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships), ILL (International Load Line) and MODU Code, as well as Azerbaijani cruiseships.
