L.A.-Long Beach delay infrastructure container fee

Los Angeles: The Port of Long Beach, following massive falls in container volumes, has decided to delay by at least a year a $6 per teu cargo fee that was scheduled to kick in on July 1. The Port of Los Angeles board approved a similar fee delay at its April 16 meeting.
The ports' fees were pushed back to at least July 1, 2010. The "infrastructure" fee, if and when it's collected, will be based on projects' construction readiness.  [27/04/09]
