Dubai: Dubai-based Lampress has signed a contract worth NOK 350m ($57m) with Scandinavian Electric Systems for delivery of complete Diesel-Electric propulsion and Automation systems for two plus option for three jackup vessels. The secure contract with for the first two vessels is worth $22m, while the optional contracts for the three other vessels is worth approximately $34m.
The vessels are self-propelled four-legged jack up vessels, designed by Gusto MSC in Holland, for Seajacks. They will be used for offshore maintenance and well intervention in shallow water up to 50 meters depth in the southern section of North Sea. [27/03/07]
